Last Wednesday, our fields and livestock were blessed by Fr. Sheahan. As part of the traditional Rogation Days observance, we solemnly processed around the property, chanting the Litany of the Saints – begging that God bless and protect the crops that they might yield an abundant and fruitful harvest. Incense mingled with the mid-May air and carried the sound of Gregorian chant across the hills.
The ceremony struck me as particularly significant, as education has often been compared to the work of a farmer, though in the case of souls, it is God who plants the seeds. As the Gospel tells us, Deus agricola est, God is a farmer. Our role lies in preparing the soil – as John Senior wrote in The Restoration of Christian Culture, “Our Lord explains in the Parable of the Sower that the seed of His love will only grow in a certain soil – and that is the soil of Christian Culture, which is the work of music in the wide sense, including as well as the tunes that are sung, art, literature, games, architecture – all so many instruments in the orchestra which plays day and night the music of lovers; and if it is disordered, then the love of Christ will not grow.”
It is your generosity that allows us to undertake this most necessary work of cultivating souls and rebuilding Christian Culture. There is no better way to make a profound and lasting impact for the betterment of society than by supporting a school like Saint Andrew’s Academy – as the great educator St. John Bosco wrote: “If we want to have a good society, we must concentrate all our forces on the Christian education of the young.”
Please support our apostolate by making a tax-deductible gift today, and as we sang on Wednesday, “Ut omnibus benefactoribus nostris sempiterna bona retribuas” – may God render eternal blessings to all our benefactors.

Breaking ground on St. Julian’s Hall!
We will be breaking ground on our new building next Sunday, May 24th, 2026, which is not only Pentecost Sunday, but also the feast of Our Lady Help of Christians! In the three short years since its founding, Saint Andrew’s has outgrown its current building, and we face the urgent need to expand. This is a good problem, and it affirms the tremendous need for authentic and holistic Catholic education. Please pray for the success of this project, and I invite you to join us as a partner and benefactor as we work to raise the $4 million required to make this vision a reality.

Kentucky State Champions!
Last Saturday, our first rugby season closed with Saint Andrew’s Academy winning the Kentucky state championship! Congratulations to the team and coach Matteo Nies!

Farm and Garden
The students have been transplanting more tomatoes and eggplant, harvesting beet greens, collard greens, spinach, arugula, and cilantro, and putting posts in the ground to build an archway as the garden’s entry.

A new building for our growing Academy!
What was once a quiet corner of Kentucky is now a vibrant academy for boys who are learning to be joyful and responsible Catholic men. In just three short years, we have outgrown our current building, and now face the urgent need to expand.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to make a visible and lasting contribution to our apostolate – make a tax-deductible donation today!
